Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra

These concerts are designed for students and their teachers to get to know more about classical music. Have fun while learning about music in these specially created concerts. Our Schools’ Concerts are offered in two sessions on the same day, you can choose either Session 1 (10.00am) or Session 2 (12.30pm).

They communicate by playing rhythms on their odd metallic costume and have a device which they try to attach to the conductor’s podium. What are they up to?

TEACHERS’ BRIEFING SESSION
To enhance the students’ concert experience, briefing sessions are available to give teachers an insight into the music that will be performed and the inner workings of the orchestra. This is intended to assist them in preparing their students so they can gain maximum benefit and enjoyment from the concert. Every teacher will be given a learning pack during this interactive Teachers’ Briefing Session which is held two weeks prior to the concert. The learning pack contains interesting materials related to the particular schools’ concert. Teachers’ Briefing Sessions are FREE!

Admission Fee
RM5 per student. RM10 per teacher. One teacher is admitted FREE with every 20 students.

Bookings
Schools’ representatives are encouraged to book early as seats are limited. Full payment and confirmation are required at least 3 weeks prior to the concert date. Call the Encounter Hotline for more information.

Duration
All concerts last approximately one hour without interval.
