Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra
Kirill Karabits, conductor
Kristóf Baráti, violin

CLASSICAL

TICKETS AVAILABLE SOON

Kirill Karabits presents a fascinating programme where two works share a hidden source: Akimenko's shimmering The Ice Maiden and Stravinsky's The Song of the Nightingale both spring from Hans Christian Andersen's fairytales. Hungarian violinist Kristóf Baráti plays Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 1 (the first in the MPO’s Mozart complete Violin Concerto cycle) and the radiant Rondo in C. Ravel’s La Valse ends the evening, transforming the Viennese waltz into a turbulent whirl!
