CLASSICAL
Three masterpieces in one unforgettable evening with the MPO and conductor Junichi Hirokami. Acclaimed pianist Barry Douglas takes the spotlight in Rachmaninoff’s concerto, celebrated for its soaring melodies and expressive piano parts. The concert opens with Borodin’s lively Prince Igor Overture and concludes with Tchaikovsky’s sweeping Symphony No. 4 filled with emotions and energy. 27 years later they reunite for the very same music, a walk down memory lane for everyone who was in the hall that night. Same programme, same collaboration but a lifetime of experience in between.
